The Mundango Trust has been established to provide opportunities for young people in the Tumut and Braidwood region.

Each year this fund will provide support towards the cost of young people attending an Outward Bound Course. In April 2018, the fund was able to support seven young people on the Australian Alps Navigator Program and the Australian Alps Explorer Program. Feedback from the participants was ‘fantastic’ with many achieving results they could not have ever imagined they would.

The participants attending the April 2018 courses were: Rosie Crawford, Bronson Sutton, Corey Crain, Vincent Wood, Willough Cordy, Ethan Parker and Andy Dodds.

Letter of Appreciation - Mundango Charitable Trust

To the Mundango Charitable Trust,

I would like to thank you for sponsoring me to be a part of this truly amazing experience, without your support, myself and numerous other participants simply would not have been able to be a part of this.

I am writing this approximately halfway through my “solo” and loving the time to relax. While this has been an extremely trying program so far, I realise that it will all be worth it, and, in five, ten, twenty years, I will still be able to look back and say “wow, what an amazing experience”

So far, my time on the program has pushed me both physically and mentally. Personally, I have done a decent amount of hill climbing, but never the amount of k’s while carrying the packs we are. I will come out of this stronger physically and mentally, with hopefully an improved fitness level.

The friendships we have all made are honestly stronger than many of the people I’ve been around for years. Everyone has seen everyone else at their best and their worst, and this has created an undeniable trust and bond between every member of the group.

Like I said before I would like to thank you for allowing me to be a part of this experience, it has been and will continue to be something I remember forever. I hope you can continue to do what you are doing, providing kids like me the opportunity to take part in an Outward Bound course.

Yours sincerely,
Corey Crain.
