Donating to Charities in lieu of flowers is becoming the families preferred method of support during the grieving period.
In 2011 when Rachel Baker lost her battle with Cancer, her husband Steve and her three boys Brad, Matt and Lachie have ensured that the Cancer Council ACT is supported through the memorial fund and also participating in Relay for Life.
From the funds donated at the time of Rachel’s funeral they set up a memorial fund to ensure their chosen charity is supported forever and the memorial of Rachel lives on also.
